UNION GROVE, Ala. (WAFF) - It’s been one year since a devastating tornado ripped through Brindlee Mountain Primary School.
Principal Terry Allen says he will never forget January 11th, 2020.
“You know, it’s kind of one of those things that it’s not anything you can do to prepare you beforehand for something like this. It’s quite an overwhelming experience, but you know because of how things worked out we were able to pretty quickly get into the former Brindlee Mountain Middle School,” said Allen.
Storm Filomena hit the country on Friday, blanketing large parts of Spain in snow and bringing everyday life to a halt. After a weekend of marveling at the unusual weather, the cold reality of dealing with it is setting in.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Alabama Representative, Mo Brooksâ colleagues are taking action against the Congressman for his words prior to Wednesdayâs U.S. Capitol riots.
The resolution calls to censure Mo Brooks.
If this resolution passes the House, Congressman Mo Brooks will have to stand in front of the Speaker and be formally reprimanded.
This is incredibly rare. If it does happen, Congressman Mo Brooks will join nine other members of congress to be censured since the late 1700s.
